Britney Spears' Womanizer hit #1 in the Billboard chart
Britney Spears hit #1 again

Britney Spears' new single, Womanizer, has made the biggest leap to #1 in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, rocketing from #96 to #1.

The song had the biggest opening week sales by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking digital sales in 2003, edging out Mariah Carey's Touch My Body, the previous record holder, by just over 200 downloads.

The single is surprisingly her first #1 on the chart since her debut single ... Baby One More Time in 1999.

It is the first single from her forthcoming album Circus, which is due to be released on December 2.

Last week, she premiered the video for Womanizer, in which we see her in various states of undress and playing several different characters, including a naughty secretary and a butt-kicking waitress.

The video can be viewed on her official YouTube channel.
